Distance Learning Information

Summit Distance Learning

Our teachers are working together to create an interactive distance learning model for our students. As we shift to an online model with more instruction and discussion, we know this falls heavily on families. We are hoping, that in order for students to maintain their skills and continue to progress, that they can spend at least 45 minutes per day in learning activities for grades K-1, 60 minutes per day for grades 2-3, and 90 minutes per day for grades 4-5, and 20 minute per class per day in middle school for about 2.5 hours per day. That being said, please know that we understand that families are undergoing lots of stresses right now and we trust that you are doing the best you can. Please don't feel pressured to complete everything; just know that this opportunity is here and that the more you can engage in what is offered, the more your child will benefit.  Please remember that any work can be completed if and when it works best for your family.

Teachers are available to answer questions and support you via email, Google Classroom, Class Dojo, Seesaw, Remind, or however you usually communicate. The most important thing is to stay healthy and safe. We miss you and look forward to seeing you all when school resumes!
